Scientific Calculator

Evaluate expressions with trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials, and common constants.

Scientific calculator

Type an expression or use the buttons. Use * for multiplication. Functions require parentheses.

This calculator runs locally in your browser. It does not send or save the expressions you enter. Your browser still makes ordinary requests to load this page and its assets; see the Privacy Policy.

How to use the scientific calculator

  1. Enter an expression in the field or build it with the calculator buttons.
  2. Select degrees or radians for trigonometric functions.
  3. Use parentheses to group operations, and use * for multiplication.
  4. Select Calculate or press Enter. Use Ans to insert the previous result.

Example: In degree mode, enter sin(30) + log(100). The result is 2.5, because sin(30°) is 0.5 and log₁₀(100) is 2.

Supported operations

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, unary signs, powers, parentheses, factorials, π, e, square root, absolute value, exponential function (exp), base-10 logarithm (log), natural logarithm (ln), and trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan). Inverse trigonometric results use the selected angle unit.

Factorials accept whole numbers from 0 to 170. Logarithms require positive inputs; square roots require non-negative inputs. Division by zero, invalid expressions, and results outside the finite number range are reported instead of shown as valid answers. Results use JavaScript floating-point arithmetic, so the last few digits may be rounded.
